Scavenger hunt, featuring Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd is a special treat in the weekend forecast: The Holly Jolly Herd

Now putting on a show as big as Old West Christmas Light Fest means all hands on deck. And hooves. That’s right: you might think all of the work around here is done by our lighting crew, but Santa’s got his own team working hard to get ready for the holidays: Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd!

But they didn’t put up lights. We haven’t found a ladder or a bucket truck quite big enough for them to lend a hoof to help us out and honestly, they have the biggest, most important job of all. They’re getting ready for the big night when they’ll fly Santa across Texas delivering presents to everyone on Santa’s nice list.

Yep. Flying longhorns. We told you Santa was settled in at Enchanted Springs Ranch. Having Santa’s magic around spurred the herd into action and before we knew it, they were taking flight. Now there’s no stopping them. They’ve been practicing their flying skills to make sure Santa gets across Texas in the blink of eye on Christmas Eve. After all, he’s still going to be hearing wishes at Old West Christmas Light Fest even on Christmas Eve, then there’s all of those presents to deliver. And the Holly Jolly Herd is ready!

We asked Old West Christmas Light Fest fans to help us name the herd. We should have known that anyone who loves the holidays as much as you all do wouldn’t let us down! Santa loved your creativity and the Holly Jolly Herd has taken a shine to their new flying call signs.

See how many you can spot on the Scavenger Hunt when you come to the Old West Christmas Light Fest. Good luck!

So, with no apologies to Rudolph and his friends, we’d like to introduce you to Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd.

Thank you to DLMoore Photography for capturing Santa’s Holly Jolly Herd.

Ho, Ho, Ho! We can’t wait to see you in the glow!
