New Outdoor Walk-up Oyster Bar Opens at Southerleigh Fine Food & Brewery at the Pearl
Southerleigh Fine Food and Brewery is excited to announce the official opening of its first ever new outdoor walk-up oyster bar. As a modern coastal classics cuisine restaurant, Southerleigh brings an addition to its popular seafood and Southern cuisine. The oyster bar will have a soft opening on Friday, Sept. 14 with select beers on tap and an official grand opening on Tuesday, Sept. 18 with a full specialty food and drink menu.
Southerleigh Fine Food and Brewery at Pearl began construction of its outdoor oyster bar in July. The inviting walk-up bar features six Southerleigh beers on tap, plus several varieties of fresh seafood, including oysters, gulf shrimp, crab, caviar and more. The bar overlooks Pearl Park, and guests can expect live music and activations from the park to enjoy throughout the year. The architect firm for the project is Clayton & Little, who also designed Southerleigh’s Pearl location restaurant. The 100-square-foot space includes bar and patio seating.
“We are thrilled to offer our guests something new and fun to our restaurant,” said Jeff Balfour, Chef and Owner of Southerleigh. “We pride ourselves in providing fresh seafood, so it’s only natural to bring an oyster bar. Guests can feel as though they are having food right off the coast, while enjoying the view of Pearl’s campus.”
Along with oysters and selected fresh seafood items, the bar also features a drink menu of Southerleigh beer, house punch, and wine including rosé, sparking and more.
Southerleigh’s oyster bar will be open daily during normal restaurant hours. Soft opening with select beer will be on Friday, Sept. 14 and grand opening will be on Tuesday, Sept. 18 with a full specialty food and drink menu. The oyster bar is located next to the restaurant in the patio of the historic Pearl brewhouse at 136 East Grayson, Suite 120.
