Hotel Valencia Riverwalk Launches its Summer Poptail Program in June

Summer just got sweeter at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. The downtown boutique hotel is rolling out this year’s poptail program on June 1 and it runs through Sept. 15. Property mixologists combine premium spirits and popsicles for a sensational seasonal treat!

“Our annual poptails program has been an extremely popular seasonal offering for the past several years with both hotel guests and local residents,” said Hotel Valencia Riverwalk’s Sales and Marketing Director Stacy Seaborn. “We hope to bring out the inner kid in our guests again this summer with our new poptail menus, which offer a spirited spin on a childhood favorite.”

Watermelon Margarita

  • 1.5 oz. blanco tequila of choice
  • 3 oz. margarita mix

Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a rocks glass filled three quarters with ice. Serve with watermelon popsicle.

Watermelon Popsicle – one tray

  • 3 oz. DeKuyper Watermelon Pucker
  • 7 oz. water
  • 7 oz. watermelon juice
  • 1.5 oz. lemon juice
  • 1.5 oz. simple syrup
  • 1.25 oz. vodka of choice
  • 0.5 oz. lime juice
  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup
  • 0.25 oz. grenadine

Blood Orange-Mango popsicle

Makes one tray (10 2-oz. popsicles)

2 oz. Solerno Blood orange liquor

2 oz. Mango schnapps

10 oz. Orange juice

5 oz. Water (freezing agent)

Mix all ingredients and transfer into a popsicle molds filled ¾ and freeze. Once frozen, put in champagne coupe and add your choice of sparkling wine or champagne.
