Some Important Events to Add to Your Summer Vacation Calendar

Springtime in Steamboat Springs heralds the return of some important events galore that extend through the summer and into fall. Fun in the Steamboat sun kicks into high gear with a weekend of outdoor athleticism, between the annual Yampa River Festival and the 37th Steamboat Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K the first weekend in June. The first month of summer also includes the return of the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series, the Moots Colorado Ranch Rally and Reds, Whites & Brews in the Boat. A jam-packed July features the 115th Cowboy Roundup Days, 37th Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Glow and the Tour de Steamboat. August follows suit with the return of the Steamboat Movement Fest, the Steamboat Stinger and the Routt County Fair. The schedule peaks in September with the 14th Wild West Air Fest, the Yampa Valley Crane Festival, Bike Week, Run-Rabbit-Run 50- and 100-mile race, OktoberWest and the Steamboat Art Museum Plein Air Painting event. Steamboat Restaurant Week caps off the fall events season Sept. 28 – Oct. 7.
