Healthy Game Day Food is Easy to Make with Olives from Spain
It is almost time for the Big Football Game so let’s make some healthy game day food. Every year, almost every American will be in front of the TV watching the Big Game. It is the time of year when the consummation of snacks containing plenty of fats, salt and sugar, rises almost to its maximum.
This is the best time to try the Mediterranean way of eating and cooking. The only thing to do is add Olives and your dish will improve in taste and benefits. Personally this food blogger and local influencer loves olives. In fact I love them so much, I eat them almost every day. I can always find a way to use olives!

Game Day Hot Dogs with Olives, and Yogurt Sauce
Fast food is not known to be very healthy but when you try these delicious hot dogs with olives you will change your mind instantly.
Ingredients 4 people
Prep Time: 20 min
• 7.5 oz. Manzanilla green olives
• 4 jumbo sausages (Frankfurt)
• 1 natural yogurt
• 1/2 lemon juice
• A few droplets of Tabasco
• 2.5 oz. fried onion
• 4 chive stems (the green part)
• 4 hot dog breads
• Olive oil
Step 1: In a bowl, mix the yogurt, the lemon juice and Tabasco. Set aside.
Step 2: Chop the chive stems into thin rings.
Step 3: Open a few hot dog breads and heat in a frying pan with a dash of olive oil.
Step 4: In the same pan-fry the sausages with a dash of olive oil.
Step 5: In each hot dog, put a sausage and add the yogurt sauce, olives, fried onion and chives.
Sandwich Roll with Ham, Cheese and Olive Pate
Give a twist to the flavor of the classic ham and cheese sandwich by smearing some olive pate. You’ll be surprised how good it is!
Ingredients (4 people)
Prep Time: 35 minutes
• 7 oz. sliced Hojiblanca olives
• 4.5 oz. cream cheese
• 4 oz. ham
• 1 teaspoon of mustard
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 2 oz. walnuts
• 2 slices of tramezzino bread (or any other type of white bread with no crust)
• Olive oil
• Pastry bag
Step 1: Put the sliced olives, mustard, honey and nuts in a glass. Grind. Add olive oil little by little so they can be chopped well. Set aside in pastry bag.
Step 2: Crush the bread with a rolling pin if it is very thick (cut a sheet of 9×9 inches approx.).
Step 3: On the bread, extend the olives pate. In the inferior part, put the ham in rolls, a thick string of cream cheese, some leaves of arugula, the sliced olives and close in the form of a roll.
Step 4: Finish by cutting in slices and prickling an olive with a tooth pick on top of the sandwich.

• 1,23 Oz. Diced cheese
• 2,12 Oz. Diced ham
• Olive oil
Step 1: Mix all the ingredients.
Step 2: Finally, dress with olive oil and serve it.
