Victoria Fine Foods Chef Collection makes Delicious Food That is Heat and Serve Simple
You come home from work tired and the family is asking, “What’s for dinner”. Victoria Fine Foods has an easy solution. Pasta in a jar that’s as easy as 1-2-3 to prepare. Don’t sacrifice quality for time ever again.
Recently I was surprised with a package in my mailbox I didn’t expect. The box contained:
- 1 24 oz. jar of “Heat & Serve” Victoria Chef Collection Penne Marinara
- 1 Microwavable safe bowl
- 1 Fork
Along with the contents was a note that said something to the effect of, “I know you have a busy schedule and it can sometimes be challenging to squeeze in lunch, so enjoy lunch on us.” Now this was a surprise and a welcome gift. The very next day I sat down to a hearty, great tasting bowl of pasta at work.
Now I know that you are going to say that similar products are already out there. Putting noodles and tomato sauce in a can or jar is nothing new. And yes, you are right! There are even frozen meals with pasta and sauce, in fact there are many of them. But they don’t really compare to Victoria Chef Collection. Just read the list of ingredients on the back of their jar of Penne Marinara and this is what you will find: Tomatoes, Pasta (water, durum wheat flour, egg white, salt), Apple Juice From Concentrate, Wine, Onions, Olive Oil, Salt, Garlic, Pepper, Oregano.
And this is what you will find on a popular competitor: Tomatoes (Water, Tomato Paste), Enriched Spaghetti (Semolina (Wheat), Vital Wheat Gluten, Egg White, Glycerol Monostearate, Niacin, Ferrous Sulfate (Iron), Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin and Folic Acid), Cooked Beef (Beef, Citric Acid, Water, Salt), Sugar, Contains 2% or less of Beef Fat, Modified Cornstarch, Salt, Potassium Chloride, Spices, Dehydrated Onions, Yeast Extract, Citric Acid, Flavoring, Cream of Tartar.
Which would you rather be eating tonight? I know which one this local San Antonio influencer and product reviewer wants, not just because of the healthy ingredients but because I tasted it for myself and it was delicious. Their slow-kettle cooked sauce is crafted using only the best ingredients. Then they add to that sauce perfectly cooked penne pasta that they specially make using egg whites. This trick-of-the-trade is how they keep the penne noodles in their meal perfectly shaped and tasting wonderful. No soggy noodle is this bowl of pasta.
This meal really is a combination of quality and convenience. Victoria Chef Collection restaurant quality, delicious cooked pasta in their famous premium sauce is a meal that I can just heat in the microwave and serve, either at the office or after I get home. Make up a salad and some crusty bread and you have a delicious meal. Add some grilled chicken or Italian sausage for some protein. Jazz it up with a little freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano and a glass of red wine.
Victoria Chef Collection brings traditional Italian elegance to your table in under two minutes. They have two varieties on the market:
- Penne Marinara is simplicity at its best, combining penne pasta with premium, slow cooked marinara sauce. Made with whole plum tomatoes, fresh onions, fresh basil, and fresh garlic.
- Penne alla Vodka is a decadent classic, combining penne pasta with rich, creamy vodka sauce made with whole plum tomatoes, real cheese, fresh onions, fresh basil, and fresh garlic.
Both varieties are sold in 24 oz. glass containers and can be found at retailers across the United States. You can also order here.
**Full Disclosure: I received product in exchange for my review. But don’t worry, all opinions are 100% mine.
