Food Festival Taste of Texas offered Texas Food, Wine & Music from Around the State

The Taste of Texas Food Festival was a Texas Cuisine Manifesto! Eleven chefs joined Chef Brian West on a culinary tour of the six food regions of Texas. The general event was open to the public with food from all six regions available for individual sale. Unique flavors of “The Piney Curtain” of East Texas, “The Acadian Coast” along the Gulf, “Hill Country” of Central Texas, “Tex-Mex” of South Texas, “Cattle Country” of the North and Northwest, and “The Green Chile Line” west of The Pecos were available.

The courtyard was decorated in all the bright Fiesta colors and regalia you would expect. And live music helped to keep things festive. There was even a chef’s lounge where participating chefs could enjoy a cool area out of the Texas sun and relax.
