Set just outside San Antonio, Christmas Light Fest is the perfect place to revel in holiday fun. From Thanksgiving night and through New Year’s Eve, gorgeous drive-thru light displays shimmer and shine under the star-filled Texas sky. Children of all ages will light up in delight as they marvel at the beauty and magical glow surrounding them. Sundays through Thursdays, Christmas Light Fest is open 6-9 p.m., while Friday and Saturday nights, as well as holidays, feature an extra hour of sparkle, 6-10 p.m.
There are two options to enjoy this true Texas style Christmas Light Fest: drive through the ranch grounds and take in the festive displays from the comfort of your own vehicle, or experience the picturesque setting ranch-style, catching a hayride to tour the lights. Tickets are $27 per vehicle to tour the ranch, or hop on a bale of hay, relax and take in the night air while you enjoy a holiday extravaganza under the amazing night sky. Santa will be visiting his favorite Texas ranch each weekend before Christmas, as well as the last full week before the big day (Nov. 24-26, Dec. 2-3, Dec. 9-10 and every night Dec. 16-24). Located at the Don Strange Ranch just 20 minutes west of San Antonio’s La Cantera, Christmas Light Fest is just off of IH-10 West, exit 533, at 103 Waring Welfare Road in Boerne. Tickets are $27 per vehicle. Members of the military (active duty, reserves and retired) and first responders and their families receive a $5 discount throughout the holiday season.
