Taco Treat Fundraiser is back this October to Support Local Children’s Charities

Taco Cabana brings back its annual Taco Treat fundraiser in October to support local children’s charities, including San Antonio’s The Children’s Shelter, in each of its markets. Throughout the month, San Antonio-area Taco Cabana locations will sell $1 coupon treat books, good for five free bean and cheese tacos and a buy-one-get-one Dr Pepper fountain drink – a $7 value. Every dollar from each treat book sold will go to the charity.

And, in honor of National Taco Day, Tuesday, Oct. 4, Taco Cabana will give each guest who comes into the restaurant from 5-8 p.m. one free Chicken Fajita Taco, while supplies last. No purchase or coupon is necessary.

“Each October, it’s our mission at Taco Cabana to inspire and create good in the communities we serve through our Taco Treat fundraiser,” said Taco Cabana Vice President of Marketing Jack Civa. “This year, we’re teaming up with children’s charities, like The Children’s Shelter in San Antonio, to increase awareness and support for those who care for the displaced and underserved children of Texas.”

Since 1901, the Children’s Shelter has offered the San Antonio and Bexar County communities a continuum of trauma-informed care through a variety of family services. It provides emergency shelter and residential treatment for children in crisis, permanent homes through foster care and adoption, family preservation services and trauma-sensitive therapeutic interventions for children impacted by maltreatment.

“The Children’s Shelter is committed to transforming and improving the lives of children and families in our community and we know that this is only possible thanks to partners like Taco Cabana,” said The Children’s Shelter President/CEO Annette Rodriguez. “Our programs are made possible through generous contributions from our community and we want to express our sincere thanks to the San Antonio community.”
