Hoist Your Stein at the 2016 Samuel Adams Local Stein Hoisting Competition at The Well
Octoberfest is officially here, so iron that lederhosen and come out to hoist your stein and celebrate like a true German at The Well. This coming Thursday, October 6, Samuel Adams is introducing an Oktoberfest tradition to The Well by hosting the Samuel Adams Local Stein Hoisting Competition. How to prove your stuff? With one hand, hold a stein filled with beer straight out in front of you and parallel to the floor. If you think you can hold your stein longer than everyone else at the bar, then head to The Well this Thursday.
When: Thursday, October 6th Time: 9:30 p.m. Location: The Well, 5539 UTSA Boulevard, San Antonio, TX, 78249
Rules: Participants must hold their stein, with one arm only, perfectly straight in front of them, parallel to the floor. Once participants start to spill, drop or bend their arms, they’re out.
Price: Free admission
Prize: The best male and female time of the night will win a porcelain stein. If you have one of the five best times in the country, you will be flown to Las Vegas for a three day, two-night trip to compete for the national title. The ultimate winners crowned at the championship in Vegas will each win a trip for two to the 2017 Oktoberfest celebration in Munich, Germany.
