UPDATE: Mayor Ivy Taylor to make a special announcement regarding #TACOWAR. This recent social media rivalry has pitted citizens of San Antonio and Austin against each other in a viral argument about which city can lay claim to being the true “Home of the Breakfast Taco!”
Choose San Antonio is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting San Antonio to the world and developing wider national and global recognition of San Antonio’s strengths and quality of life. Choose San Antonio will be bringing its message that San Antonio is a great place to live, work, and play to SXSW and other influential conferences and festivals around the world in 2016.
The launch party sponsored by Whataburger and hosted by Choose San Antonio will kick off Choose San Antonio’s first trip to SXSW with a series of events and programming showcasing San Antonio at SXSW Interactive 2016.
WHAT: Choose San Antonio, a new nonprofit dedicated to promoting San Antonio to the world, will host a reception, sponsored by Whataburger, celebrating the launch of “SATX at SXSW,” a series of events and programming showcasing San Antonio at SXSW Interactive 2016. The launch party will take place here in San Antonio on Thursday, March 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Entrepreneur Center, located at 219 E. Houston. Parking is available in the Travis Park Plaza Garage at Travis and Navarro streets, and guests can enter the party through the courtyard next to Bohanan’s.
