Best Fried Chicken In San Antonio is Located at Jerk Shack in the Northwest Area
Jerk Shack receives national Best Fried Chicken recognition by Eater. This popular San Antonio caribbean-inspired restaurant, The Jerk Shack, was recently named one of the best restaurants for fried chicken in America by Eater. The Jerk Shack was one of just 27 restaurants listed and the only restaurant in the state of Texas to receive the recognition.
The Jerk Shack was started by Chef Nicola Blaque and her husband Cornelius Massey in 2018. After serving ten years in the Army, Blaque began working as a private chef to explore her passion for cooking. She relocated to San Antonio from Hawaii to pursue a degree at the Culinary Institute of America where she graduated in 2016. She returned to her Jamaican roots and began focusing on Caribbean cuisine, working to bring the unique flavors to south Texas.
