August First Friday Event at The Good Kind will Include Art and Music



August First Friday event that The Good Kind is throwing on Friday, August 5th is from 7pm-10pm.



The Good Kind, located at 1127 S. St. Mary’s St, San Antonio, TX 78210, is set to host a First Friday event dubbed Fi-Fri (pronounced like WiFi), on Friday, August 5th from 7pm-10pm. The event will include live music, an onsite art exhibit, food, and drinks.

Fi-Fri at The Good Kind has been a recurring event since March 2022, featuring local bands and musicians. This month’s event will include a live performance from Bad Gumbo: A group made up of New Braunfels’ finest musicians who have come together to form an eclectic mix of Texas country and Louisiana swamp funk. Artists in this group are B.J. Thibodeaux, Leon Waddy, Tyler Hadlock, and James Thompson.

Aside from the entertainment aspect, The Good Kind brings guests an onsite art exhibit that will feature the sewing art of Suzanne and Natalie Ginouk and the fashion artistry of Ruth Waddy from Hawaii. Ruth uses recycled materials to create her designs and guests will be able to take a look at her pieces on display.

Guests can enjoy this event in a beautiful garden oasis setting, with perfect views of the Tower of Americas. The Good Kind will have their full kitchen & bar available, serving delicious bites and botanical cocktails. The event is pet and kid-friendly, making it inclusive to families. The Good Kind’s hours of operation are Tuesday – Thursday from 11am to 10pm, Friday & Saturday from 11am – 11pm and Sunday from 11pm to 10pm.
