Fun Riverwalk Tiki Bar, Hugman’s Oasis, Launched New Bites Menu Last Week

Hugman’s Oasis, a fun Riverwalk Tiki Bar, introduced a new and delicious bites menu the first week of August. Chef Teddy Liang has been working hard to prepare a new bite menu to work with the bar.

Downtown tiki bar, Hugman’s Oasis, located at 135 E Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78205 will introduce a new bite menu to the bar’s offerings beginning August 2022. Over the last few weeks, the bar has been working with Chef Teddy Liang, a well-known San Antonio chef on the rise within the local culinary community, to develop a small bites menu. Finally, the menu is complete and will make its official debut the first week of August, featuring five unique dishes with an Asian flair.

The menu includes savory items such as Pork Spring Rolls, Kalua Pork Sliders, and two flavors of Popcorn Chicken (Seaseme Teriyaki or Sweet Chili). For those looking for something sweeter, the menu offers a Pina Rum Cake made with a brown butter caramel and spice rum anglaise.

For guests, the most eye-catching, novelty item on the menu is the Watermelon Coconut Bowl, which is presented tableside with smoke (aka dry ice). The base of the dish is a watermelon coconut lime & ginger infused smoothie, topped with fruit, ginger, roasted almonds, mint and chili salt. Of the menu options available, several are vegan, gluten and dairy free, providing guests with dietary restrictions options to choose from. The menu is available Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 4pm-10pm, and Friday through Saturday from 4pm-12am.
