Popular Restaurant, Panchito’s, Honors Their Mother by Feeding Its Westside Community Saturday, June 25th
Owners of Popular Restaurant Honor Mom
In honor of their mother, Evelyn Sepulveda Reyes, who passed away last April (April 15, 2021), the Reyes family behind both the long-standing Panchito’s Mexican Restaurant and Pericos will be feeding its Westside Community on Saturday, June, 25th, calling it the Evelyn Sepulveda Reyes Memorial Celebration.
“Our mom had such a big servant’s heart, and she loved feeding people, so we decided as a company to feed the westside in memory of her, and say thank you for all their years of support,” says Eliana Reyes, marketing director of Panchito’s. “We also have a company bible verse, 1 Peter 4:10, that we will be highlighting this Saturday that talks about ‘using our gifts to serve others,’ so that’s always our intention.”
In fact, the Panchito’s Westside location at Zarzamora was the very first location, which opened in 1980. “We also want to give back to the Westside because it has brought us to this point. We wouldn’t be here without them,” adds Eliana.

Panchito’s will be serving 1,000 plates (first come, first serve) of Pollo Asado, a delicious new dish currently being served at their sister restaurant, Pericos. This popular Tex-Mex BBQ chicken will be served with rice, beans and Panchito’s renowned homemade flour tortillas.
“My brother, Russell Reyes, is the pioneer leading this project. His mission is to honor our mother, celebrate her life and spirit and help feed the Westside,” says Eliana.

Pericos, which has been open since 2007, is owned and operated by Russell Reyes, also visionary of Panchito’s.
As for Saturday, this will be the Reyes family’s first time feeding the community, but they hope to be able to do more in the future.
