Chef Cooperatives San Antonio is Hosting an Upcoming Event: “Bringing Back the Garden” to Benefit Blue Heron Recovery Center at Los Patios

Announcing another delicious Chef Cooperatives ‘ fundraising event!

WHO

Chef Cooperatives

San Antonio’s Chef Cooperatives, a nonprofit comprised of well-known San Antonio chefs, has been instrumental in raising funds through their pop-up events to actively support the health and prosperity of South Central Texas farmers, ranchers and vintners, as well as the local communities. The chefs have also been first responders, feeding these same communities during times of disaster.

WHAT

Chef Cooperatives is happy to announce their upcoming event, “Bringing Back the Garden,” which includes a virtual garden tour and a picnic basket of delicacies, made by local Chef Cooperatives’ chefs. (Please see menu below.) The meal also includes two complimentary drinks per guest of local wine and beer.

“Out of respect and concern for our community, we decided it would be best to offer another virtual event. This way, everyone can safely participate,” says Stephen Paprocki, President of Chef Cooperatives.

This event is to benefit the Blue Heron Recovery (addiction treatment center) at Los Patios, or more specifically, the nonprofit arm called Los Patios Foundation, which was established to primarily support treatment centers, education, events, sober living and activities that further recovery in the community.

“We are all super excited about the garden event. It’s something we’ve been talking about even before we opened Blue Heron. The garden is one of those magical places that will be filled with honey bees, bunnies, chickens and be accessible to everyone, including our clients and the community,” said Blue Heron Recovery founder, Christine Mayer. “We’re very grateful to the Chef Cooperatives for helping us bring the garden to life.”

Ticket-holders will pick up their picnic basket-style bounty of delicious, garden-fresh dishes made by Chef Cooperatives’ chefs the day before the virtual tour. A wonderful array of local farmers and artisan food companies will donate ingredients to create this spectacular garden party picnic.

On the day of the tour, guests will log into a zoom call to enjoy their meal as they take a virtual tour of the garden with Chef Cooperatives’ president, chef Stephen Paprocki.

“We are thrilled to be working with Christine Mayer and the Blue Heron Recovery Center at Los Patios. We look forward to seeing the garden and this property flourish again, just like it has for so many decades,” said Chef Paprocki.
