Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels has New Upgrades that will Enhance Guest Experience
Schlitterbahn kicked off its 43rd operating season April 15, with the return of family-fun and thrilling memories. For the 2022 season, the 70-acre waterpark has invested more than $4.5 million in upgrades and improvements, including:
• Streamlined guest entry for easier park access:
Guests can now bypass the ticket booths with their season pass or pre-paid tickets, and buses have been added to the shuttle fleet.
• Refreshed Lagoon Activity Pool:
One of the most popular areas of the waterpark is putting the finishing touches on a refreshed finish and a state-of-the-art filtration system. In addition, shade structures are being added to the pool deck and restrooms will be completely remodeled when this area opens in May.
• More Shade:
Guests will notice the addition and enhancements of shade structures throughout the park, including guest queue areas, cabanas and the Lagoon Activity Pool deck. Additional shade structures will be added throughout the season.
• Resort Upgrades:
Building exteriors have received a fresh coat of paint and new landscaping. Guest room interiors have been enhanced, including furniture upgrades.
• New Food Location:
A new B&B Barbecue food truck location has been added to the Blastenhoff area of the park to provide guests with savory, slow-smoked barbecue including beef brisket and pulled pork.
“For more than 40 years Schlitterbahn has taken pride in the experience our guests have when they visit us,” said Darren Hill, vice president and general manager of Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels. “This season we are building on that experience with more shade, new food options and important upgrades to iconic attractions.”
