Traverse City Whiskey from “Up North” Michigan has now made it way to “Down South” Texas. This whiskey is made by good friends for good friends. After discovering a grandfather’s old patents for distilling whiskey on the family’s farm, three friends were inspired to start something great. With hard work, a passion, and support from family & friends, they started a small batch whiskey company. And even if you can’t make it “UP North” to visit their Stillhouse, you can now find their products right here in Texas.

XXX Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Their original recipe was this Straight Bourbon.

It ages four years in oak barrels and comes out with notes of vanilla, aged honey, and hints of baking spices. Not too sweet, but it’ll go down easy.

This one has a bold profile and an Alc./vol. of 43%.

Mash: corn, rye and malted barley

 

 

The Barrel Proof Bourbon

 

Because not all whiskey barrels are created equal they use their most flavorful to age this limited-edition release: their Straight Bourbon, pure and uncut, bottled at full barrel proof. They’ve crafted Barrel Proof with life’s simpler moments in mind—meant to be enjoyed slowly, holding nothing back.

American Cherry Edition

 

 

Their best seller. Spirit-forward with a friendly wink from the Traverse City cherry orchards.

 

Traverse City is known as the “cherry capital of the world.” And with their American Cherry whiskey, that reputation finds its most exciting expression. This crowd favorite is spirit-forward with the round, subtle sweetness of Michigan’s famous tart cherries. Best enjoyed over ice. Not suitable as cherry pie filling substitute. They know because they have tried.

Manhattan

Ingredients
Any Traverse City Whiskey Expression
Sweet Vermouth
Angostura Bitters
Ice
Premium Cocktail Cherries

Directions
In a mixing glass add 2 oz. Traverse City Whiskey, 1 oz. sweet vermouth, 2 dash angostura bitters. Add ice and stir until fully diluted and chilled. Approximately 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a Traverse City Cocktail Cherry.

 

Old Fashioned

 

 

Ingredients
Any Traverse City Whiskey Expression
Simple Syrup
Angostura Bitters
Premium Cocktail Cherries
Orange Peel
Ice

Directions
In a mixing glass add 2 oz. Traverse City Whiskey, 1⁄2 oz. simple syrup, 3 dash angostura bitters, add ice and stir until fully diluted and chilled. Approximately 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a Traverse City Cocktail Cherry and an orange peel.
