Culinaria Announces the Tasting Texas Wine + Food Festival will take Place October 27-30, 2022

 

 

Along with Visit San Antonio, Culinaria is partnering with the James Beard Foundation for the Tasting Texas Wine + Food Festival, October 27-30, 2022. Sign up at culinariasa.org for all the details and announcements!

 

 

They have been anxiously awaiting the day that they could share the big news with their loyal Culinarians – and today is that day!

 

 

 

The festival will return this year, bigger and better than ever, featuring new dates and a new partner. Along with Visit San Antonio, Culinaria is excited to announce that they’ll be partnering with the James Beard Foundation for the Tasting Texas Wine + Food Festival, October 27-30, 2022.

Plans are in progress for the events that you won’t want to miss including some of their fan-favorite components and a mix of lunches, dinners, tasting seminars, cooking demos and so much more. While they’re finalizing the schedule and those big-name chefs that you’ve been anxious to meet, tickets will be on sale soon.

Introducing: The Master of Chicken! This event takes place on Saturday, April 9 at Grille 254 at La Cantera Resort & Spa. Multiple chefs will be competing to earn the title of The Master of Chicken in a chicken sandwich challenge.

In addition, tasty beverages, live music, vendors, chances to win big prizes (including a stay at La Cantera Resort & Spa) are part of the fun of the day.

Women & Whiskey

 

Women & Whiskey is back and better than ever in 2022!

Whether you consider yourself a whiskey connoisseur or ready to try something new, the monthly Women & Whiskey series focuses on the roles women play in “whiskey business,” while supporting Culinaria.

 

6:30PM – 7:30PM: Master Class ($40 Advance, $50 at the door

7:00PM-10:00PM: Whiskey Social Hour

  • $10 per ticket

  • $2 per ticket will go back to Culinaria

  • Free tastings, bites, and brief presentation from each vendor

  • Live Entertainment

LIMITED SEATING AVAILABLE.

Ticket sales will end at midnight each Wednesday prior to the event. Tickets must be presented at the door (printed or on phone). If you purchase a ticket to the Master Class, you do not need to purchase an additional ticket for the Whiskey Social Hour.

Karah Carmack

Karah Carmack was born for hospitality. A natural caregiver, she easily identifies the needs of others to create and execute unique experiences that result in happy customers, increased sales, and exceeded goals. Karah tailors the care and attention she provides to her customers, always working to raise the bar and elevate the status quo. She enjoys working in the industry alongside many life-long friends and relishes any opportunity to help them achieve their goals.

A 15-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Karah has worked as a Staff Mixologist and a Bar Manager.  She enjoys making an impact on the quality of education in the industry and actively expands her knowledge. Karah holds a WSET Level 2 in Spirits and a WSET Level 2 in Wine & Spirits, as well as an Associates Degreee in Photojournalism and Psychology from San Antonio College.

Karah believes happiness is a choice and finds hers by cooking, baking, hiking, gaming, building LEGO sets, and doing volunteer work. In fact, she’s run the San Antonio Cocktail Conference Volunteer program since its inception in 2012. Karah currently resides in San Antonio with her partner Tim, her stepdaughter Juniper, and their 3 dogs. They are currently expecting a new addition to the family in August of 2022.
