Il Forno Hosts Fundraiser to Support Local Literacy Charity

Il Forno hosts fundraiser, Ride for Reading, on July 12th to help raise money to purchase books for San Antonio children in low-income areas.

Summer means school is out, and although it gives kids a well-deserved break from learning, many San Antonio children in low-income communities have no books to read at home. Local children aren’t able to keep up or maintain the same level of literacy as their classmates due to their lack of resources. Ride for Reading, a national organization, believes that education is not only found within the four walls of a school building. Within the pages of a book, you can go anywhere, see anything, and experience everything. Every child deserves that despite economic status or circumstance. Since education and literacy are so important, Il Forno is partnering up with Ride for Reading to raise money to purchase books for local low-income children. How do you fit in? Join us for dinner on July 12th and 20% of the nights profits will be donated to Ride for Reading. We would love for you to join us for a delicious dinner and to help us raise money to combat this problem.
