Award Winning Chef Opens Ceviche Ceviche
Ceasar Zepeda, an award winning chef in San Antonio is opening a new restaurant soon called Ceviche Ceviche that will focus on fast, fresh & healthy ceviche cuisine. The new restaurant will be located at 18360 Blanco, Suite 120, 78258 in June 2018. Chef Zepeda also owns Sangria on the Burg, 5115 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, TX.
The 1200 square foot space located in the Blanco Market Shopping Center is currently undergoing a complete transformation from a former nail salon to a lively restaurant.
Chef Ceasar Zepeda, a UTSA Alumni and local restaurateur, is well-known in the San Antonio area. A long-time chef and former general manager of La Fonda on Main, Zepeda is the current owner of local hotspot Sangria on the Burg. When he started his higher education, opening his own restaurant was already in mind. Upon graduating with a B.B.A. in Management, he was inspired to share his passion of cooking and mixology.
“The inspiration behind Ceviche Ceviche is fresh,” says Zepeda. Ideally all fish will be delivered each morning, cut and used in one 24-hour period, guaranteeing guests a unique experience every time. Additionally, the fish will be procured by local groomers when possible. The restaurant is driven by their slogan, “Fast. Fresh. Healthy.” The food menu will rotate seasonally, providing diners with the freshest fish of the season.
Customers can choose from a few core signature ceviches, or opt to build their own at the venue’s ceviche bar. Signature dishes are inspired by both classic recipes, as well as some non-traditional flavors Zepeda has come across in his travels.
In addition to ceviche, guests can enjoy the restaurant’s extensive Michelada Bar, which will offer a variety of flavorful cocktails complete with all the fixin’s. Local craft beer and Mexican brews will also be available, along with wine.
