New Homemade Ramen Available at Yummi Japanese Restaurant
Local San Antonio sushi spot, Yummi Japanese Restaurant, is now offering new homemade ramen in three varieties. The restaurant is located at 300 West Bitters Road, Suite #185, San Antonio, TX 78216.
The restaurant will feature three new homemade ramen dishes. Tonkotsu Ramen and Shoyu Ramen will be introduced to the everyday menu, while a Curry Ramen will be available seasonally. Each Ramen is made with bok choy, chashu (braised pork), green onion, shiitake mushrooms, fresh seaweed, and a boiled egg. The customer will have the choice of a shoyu or tonkotsu base, or curry when in season.
Tonkotsu is a boiled pork bone broth and is the most recognized broth worldwide. Shoyu is a Japanese soy sauce which is used to season many types of ramen.
The broth of each ramen takes 6 hours to prepare, so one batch is prepared for the entire day. Once the ramen runs out, it is no longer served that day. Yummi Sushi’s Chef handcrafted this recipe to be an authentic Japanese ramen, identical to what is served in Japan.
Yummi Japanese Restaurant on Bitters is one of two locations in San Antonio. The original restaurant, located in Leon Springs, has been serving locals for over ten years.
Each location is owned and operated by Chef Deuk Bok and his family. The chef has over 14 years experience in the sushi industry that includes training in New York City. Chef Deuk Bok prides himself on providing San Antonio some of the most unique and fresh sushi in the city.
The Yummi Japanese Restaurant, located on Bitters, is open Monday-Sunday from 11am-10pm. The Leon Springs location is open from Monday-Thursday from 11am-9:30pm, Friday–Saturday from 11am-10pm, and Sunday from12pm-9pm. Both locations offer Happy Hour with information available on the website.
