Come Celebrate Viva Fiesta with Flowers and Fun at the San Antonio Botanical Garden

The San Antonio Botanical Garden invites the community to come celebrate Viva Fiesta at the Garden with a variety of family-friendly events, plant sale, and fireworks. Explore 38 acres including the NEW Family Adventure Garden, Culinary Garden, and CHEF Teaching Kitchen! Community partners join the fun with hands-on activities.

Come Celebrate Viva Fiesta with Viva Botanica

Fiesta festivities begin with Viva Botanica, an official Fiesta® event that celebrates the beautiful world of plants and nature. Bring your Fiesta decorated wagons and join the Children’s Parade at Noon with the Alamo Heights Drumline! Children’s hands-on activities bring nature to life with community partners including Alamo Bird Club, Advanced Learning Academy, Bexar Audubon, and San Antonio Parks Natural Areas. A festive and alcohol-free event for the entire family, Viva Botanica is open to all with admission to the Garden. ($12-$9)

Viva Botanica Plant Sale
SaturdaySunday, April 21-22 | 10am-5pm | Free

Shop the Viva Botanica Plant Sale featuring native and adapted plants suited to San Antonio landscapes. Let Garden experts guide you to the perfect water-saving performers and just the right plants to enjoy year-round in your own yard. The plant sales is conveniently located in front of the Garden’s new entrance. Admission is not required to shop the plant sale. However, admission is still required to visit the Garden.

Come Celebrate Viva Fiesta with fireworks

Members of the Garden enjoy the best kept secret in San Antonio as they take in Fiesta fireworks from the San Antonio County Club from the lush grounds of the Garden. Members are welcome to bring a picnic, blankets, and lawn chairs to enjoy this unique San Antonio spectacle. This event is free for Members. Learn more about becoming a Member.

This year’s fun San Antonio Botanical Garden Fiesta® Medal features a succulent plant with an added “300” dangle to commemorate the Tricentennial. Available for purchase in the Garden Gift Shop, it’s a must to add to any collection. Garden medals are also available at The Fiesta Store on Broadway. Get one while you can – they’re selling fast! ($7)

Get to and from the Garden’s Fiesta® events with ease. Onsite parking is free, but limited. Here are a few options for consideration:

  • VIA VIVA Culture Bus Route 11 connects riders to the Garden with convenient service every 30 minutes.
  • Sign up for Uber and use the promo code SABOT to receive a free ride on us, up to $20 off. This promotion is for first-time riders only.

Daily admission to the San Antonio Botanical Garden is $12 adults; $10 students, seniors, military; $9 children age 3-13. San Antonio Botanical Garden is located at 555 Funston Place at North New Braunfels. Parking is free. The Botanical Garden is operated under the auspices of the City of San Antonio Department of Parks & Recreation and is open daily, 9am-5pm, year-round except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
