Celebrate Viva Hemisfair with JD’s Chili Parlor Chili
JD’s Chili Parlor will help celebrate Viva Hemisfair at the 50th Celebration April 6-8, with their Best Bowl of Red on April 7th.
WHO: JD’s Chili Parlor is an artisan food company located at the Local Sprout Food Hub on San Antonio’s downtown East side. These Professional Chili Designers are known at local farmers and artisan markets, such as the Stone Oak Artisan Market and the Brick at Blue Star, as the source for gourmet chili and mac. They also offer catering for public and private events.
WHAT: The Chili Queen and King, Diana and John Anderson, owners of JD’s Chili Parlor, will be representing at Viva Hemisfair to celebrate the San Antonio’s rich tradition of chili by serving up the best ‘bowl of red’ the city has ever tasted!
“We make our own chili pastes and blends, which are the foundation of our chilis, and we just want share them with the whole city, and what better place to do it than at Hemisfair’s 50th Birthday!” said Diana Anderson, co-owner of JD’s Chili Parlor.
For the event, JD’s Chili Parlor will be serving their farmers market-favorite, Pecan-Smoked Whiskey Chili as well as their new Double Red Vegan Chili made with Becker Vineyards’ Cabernet. Additionally, folks can enjoy some of their 11-cheese Mac, with or without bacon and chives. Offerings also include fried hash brown bowls, Frito pies and mouthwatering Mac Attacks (chili and mac).
