Valentines Day Menu that Combines Beautiful Cocktails with a Memorable Meal
A Valentines Day menu should be worthy of the most romantic day of the year, so at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille only a Rare and Well Done experience will do.
This fine dining restaurant has put together quiet a feast for this year’s celebration. To start with, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille’s Corporate Sommelier and Beverage Director, Susi Zivanovic created several Valentine’s Day worthy cocktails to pair with some of the eatery’s best appetizers. Before being seated, you can partake of some friendly conversation at the expansive bar and enjoy delights like:
Homemade Polish Sausage which is served with crackers, mustard and BBQ sauce. A little unknown fact, Perry’s started out as a meat market in 1979 and that’s how Bar 79 got it’s name. This sausage is homemade and wonderful. Paired with the Jameson Mocha Old Fashioned, it makes an excellent starter. Never knew coffee, whiskey and BBQ went so well together.
Or maybe you prefer the Bacon Wrapped Scallops for the start of a surf and turf meal. The scallops are large, plump and perfectly cooked. Susi created the Rose Collins for the perfect pair here!
The Beef and Blue Crostini with its sliced beef filet, bacon onion marmalade topped with Blue Cheese crumbles all atop a toasted French baguette is an excellent choice for those wanting their steak at this great steakhouse. Paired with the lovely and delicious PassionateNut for Port cocktail, you will be in love with this combo. This cocktail combines Ruby Port with Coconut Rum topped with a pineapple leaf and lemon peel for a tropical flair. (This is a favorite of mine.)
You may also order these three cocktails as a flight at a special price. That way you can try them all!
After your starter at the bar, get ready for a beautiful & delicious feast. You can start your meal with a selection of one of their signature soup or salads. Next choose an entree like a 14oz. Prime New York Strip, Perry’s Famous Pork Chop or the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. And for the dessert course, go for the dessert trio; Praline Cheesecake, Chocolate Crunch (Crunchy milk chocolate covered with a dark chocolate ganache served with homemade whipped cream, toffee and peanut brittle) & Crème Brulée.
Or try their table-side dessert Nutty D’Angelo with crushed pecans flambeed with brown sugar and brandy. It is served over vanilla ice cream, dipped in white chocolate and toasted almonds. If you do this one you should order a glass of their Blandy’s 10 year aged Madiera for a superior treat.
If you prefer to drink your dessert, ask for a glass of Royal Tokaji 5 Puttonyos Aszu. This Hungarian Aszu wine has intense sweetness but is well balanced with crisp acidity. This wine makes a great apéritif but also goes well with cheese, light desserts or fruit.
The Valentine’s Day 3-course dinner is $59.95 per person + tax and gratuity if you come in before 5:30PM, or $74.95 per person + tax and gratuity if you come in 5:45PM or later. Appetizers, Nutty D’Angelo, cocktails and wines are offered at an additional price.
Make a reservation today and enjoy a memorable meal with your special someone on Wednesday, February 14th!
