River Walk Fun Happenings – From Halloween through Christmas
River Walk fun in San Antonio is always on everyone’s to do list especially during the holidays. There is always something fun to do on the River Walk, but during the holidays this cities famous waterway is even more fun and magical. Here is a list of things you should mark on your calendar starting with this month and going all the way through to January.
Bud Light Haunted River
Friday, October 27, 6-10 p.m.
Roam the River Walk with eerie sounds, friendly roaming ghouls, and zombies. Enjoy music, dancing, an adult costume contest (18+), haunted river parade, and trick or treating to round out a slightly-spooky night of fun. This is a very popular event; come early and stay late. The vibe is spooky but not too much for scaredy-cats. Bwaahaahaa. Please drink responsibly. Arrange for a designated driver in advance or book a hotel room. Event and costume contest are free.

Ford Holiday River Parade
Friday, November 24, 6-10 p.m.
Tickets sold online ($15-$40)
Ring in the holidays with this iconic night parade filled with lights, costumed float riders & music. Floats depict holiday movie classics for the theme, Christmas at the Movies.

Ford Fiesta de las Luminarias
Experience the holiday serenity of the River Walk as you stroll along the lush banks of the San Antonio River guided by more than 2,000 Luminarias at night. This century’s old tradition begins at dusk Friday through Sunday only,

Ford Holiday Boat Caroling
Tuesday – Sunday, December 1-22
The public is welcome to enjoy the caroling for free from the banks of the river or while seated outdoors on a patio.

Holiday Lights on the River Walk
November 25-Janaury 7, 2018, nightly
The famous holiday lights on the River Walk are turned on each year the day after Thanksgiving and remain on from dusk to dawn daily till just after the first of the New Year. This year the lights will remain on until January 7th. We invite you to experience the spectacular display of 100,000 lights (2,250 strings of light) draped over the towering bald cypress trees that line the River Walk.
