New Braunfels Cafe Partners with Republic Whiskey to Host a Hog Roast Dinner
WHAT: New Braunfels Cafe, Krause’s Café & Biergarten, is teaming up with Austin-based Republic Whiskey to host a special Hog Roast Dinner on Tuesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. The special event will highlight dishes by Chef “Boomer” Acuna along with paired specialty cocktails using Republic Whiskey and Republic Blanco Tequila.
The restaurant will have a prix fixe four-course menu featuring German and South Texas inspired dishes. The menu includes Pork Belly Crostinis, BBQ Gulf shrimp, Venison Sausage, Roasted Pig, and more. Each dish is paired with an inspired cocktail from Republic Whiskey and Republic Blanco Tequila such as Armarillo Sour, Munich Haus, Bourbon-Butter Pecan Porter Float, and more. 1 oz Seven-up Lemon Twist
Venison Sausage on Roasted Butternut Squash Salad with pomegranate seeds
2 oz Republic Whiskey
1 oz Martine
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Shake together, pour into iced highball glass.
Float ½ oz Malbec over top of cocktail.
