Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria located at 824 Afterglow St., San Antonio, TX 78216 has been serving family recipes for over 30 years, and is more than ready for the upcoming foodie-festivity that is National Pasta Month.
Attention fellow San Antonians and food lovers alike, October is National Pasta Month! Take your forks and appetites and bring them over to Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria. The Visocaro family has been perfecting traditional favorites for over three decades, and has plenty of specials to entice all carb/pasta lovers during the month of October. The specials, which will run for both lunch and dinner, from Monday – Wednesday, are only viable for on site dinners. All the pasta specials are such a steal at only $8.99, including garden salad and hot bread.
For the first week, October 2-4, the Visocaro family will be highlighting their famous staple, Spaghetti with Meatballs – spaghetti topped with fresh marinara sauce, and homemade Italian seasoned ground beef meatballs. A family favorite, one that is sure to become one of yours.
Linguine with Pesto will be presented for the second week, October 9-11. For those looking to keep their lithe figures, this dish is on the lighter side. The pesto is house-made, and includes a blend of fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, and extra virgin olive oil.
The third week, October 16-18, plays host to the deletable favorite that is the infamous Baked Ziti. Ziti pasta is cooked al-dente, then tossed with marinara-meat sauce and fresh ricotta, and finally baked to savory perfection.
The fourth week, October 23-25, will be featuring the popular Fettuccine Alfredo. Everyone knows this typical Italian-American dish – and for good reason, it is simply delicious. There is something about the combination of thick fettuccine with cream, butter, parmesan, and romano that leaves all satiated and satisfied. For an up-charge, add your choice of chicken or shrimp.
And finally for the fifth and final week, October 30-31, Little Italy will be returning to the most recognizable of Italian dishes: Spaghetti with Meatballs, ending National Pasta Month with a family and fan favorite!
Founded in 1983, Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria is a San Antonio staple. Husband Angelo Visocaro, and wife Paola used their Italian ancestral roots and love of all things food to create unique recipes with authentic Italian flavor. While it was these recipes which catapulted Little Italy to notoriety, the key component has and will always be family. Today, the children of Angelo and Paola, have continued the Visocaro family tradition of creating food that entices and leaves everyone happy.
Little Italy is open for lunch from 11am to 3pm and for dinner from 5pm to 11pm Monday through Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 11pm.
