Bowl For Houston to Help Bowl & Barrel, High Wheel Brewery and Dorcol Distilling with Hurricane Relief
Three local San Antonio businesses – Bowl & Barrel, High Wheel Brewery and Dorcol Distilling – are joining forces to Bowl for Houston to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, San Antonians are invited to visit Bowl & Barrel in The RIM to “Bowl for Houston.” During the event, from 12 noon – 6 p.m., 100 percent of the proceeds from shoe rentals and sales of High Wheel and Dorcol Distilling beverages will be donated to San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg’s Hurricane Relief Fund.
Mayor Nirenberg created the fund in order to centralize monetary donations and expedite the flow of aid to those in need. The donations will help support relief efforts for evacuees in San Antonio and offer resources for the coastal bend area.
“We have three Bowl & Barrel locations, and one of them is in Houston, so we’ve seen the horrifying affects of Hurricane Harvey firsthand,” said Kyle Noonan, co-owner of FreeRange Concepts, creator of Bowl & Barrel. “We are honored to partner with two great local brands here in San Antonio and we’re looking forward to coming together as a community to raise money for our brothers and sisters whose lives were torn apart by the storm.”
