Lick Honest Ice Creams Hosts a ‘Welcome Fall’ Pop–Up with Tiny Pies in San Antonio
Lick Honest Ice Creams is collaborating with Tiny Pies on its first ever pop–up on Saturday, September 9 at Lick’s scoop shop at The Pearl on 312 Pearl Parkway #2101. Tiny Pies’ Amanda Bates and Kit Seay, the mother daughter duo behind the iconic Austin brand, will be producing and selling their signature “tiny pies” at the pop–up. Pies will be sold individually, with or without ice cream, or in half-dozen boxes in the shop, starting at 9:30 am. The event is first-come, first-serve and patrons will be limited to purchasing up to a half-dozen at a time.
In the past, Tiny Pies has carried Lick Honest Ice Creams pints in its two Austin shops, but this is the first time the pie company will be selling their pies in San Antonio. “We’re thrilled to be participating in a pop up shop at Lick Honest Ice Creams, and are delighted to introduce our pies to San Antonio,” says Bates. Tiny Pies is going to have a special surprise for local basketball fans. “If you’re a Spurs fan you’ll especially like our SPUR-centric pie toppers,” she says.
Tiny Pies’ pies are made by hand daily using fresh, all-natural, high-quality ingredients, using techniques passed on by family recipes. Pies will be priced at $4.50 a piece or $25.50 for a half dozen. Flavors will include Texas Two Step, Pecan, Cherry, Apple, and Blueberry. In addition to tiny pies, there will be several large pies available for purchase ($30 per pie; not sold by the slice). During the pop–up, Lick will be serving single scoops for a $2 as an add-on with the purchased pies until they sell out.
About Lick Honest Ice Creams
Lick Honest Ice Creams has been making seasonal and sustainable artisan ice creams that celebrate the flavors and culture of Texas since 2011. Free of antibiotics and added hormones, the milk and cream in Lick’s proprietary mix come from the grass-fed cows of a single-source Central Texas dairy. The other ingredients are sourced from across the Lone Star State, with a focus on Central Texas, and are grown naturally and responsibly. Every component is made from scratch in Lick’s kitchen and each pint and tub of ice cream is packed by hand.
