Top Five Things You’ll Want to Celebrate with Cocktails as Summer Comes to a Close

Summer might be coming to a close but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! I’ve listed the Top Five Things to Celebrate during the next two months and thanks to William Grant & Sons’ extensive portfolio of award-winning brands we have the perfect cocktail for each celebration.

1)    National Rum Day – August 16 – Top Five Things

Celebrate National Rum Day with this classic and refreshing Mojito made with the five-generation-family-owned Nicaraguan rum, Flor de Cana. Flor Ultimate Mojito 

2 parts Flor de Caña 7

½ part lime juice

1/3 part superfine sugar

3 leaves mint

Champagne

Muddle lime juice with sugar in a Collins glass. Add mint leaves and muddle again. Fill glass 2/3 full with crushed ice and add rum. Top off with a champagne float. Garnish with sprig of mint.

½ part Real Mango Puree

½ part Lime Juice

1 ½ parts Pineapple

¼ part Grenadine (Drizzle As Garnish)

¾ part of fresh lemon juice

¾ part of simple syrup

Shake with ice and strained over ice in a rocks glass

1 ½ part Hendrick’s Gin

1 ½ part Gunpowder Green Tea

¾ part Small Batch Tonic Syrup

½ part Lime Juice

½ part  Simple Syrup

Method: Muddle, shake, and strain into a hurricane glass. Top with soda. Garnish with a cucumber and grated black pepper.

 

5)    National Coffee Day – September 29 – Top Five Things

Don’t run to your nearest coffee shop on National Coffee Day instead, celebrate with a cocktail (yup, we said cocktail)! 1 part Drambuie

1 part Pineapple Juice

3 Fresh Basil Leaves

2 parts Chameleon Mexican Coffee Concentrate

½ part Mezcal
