Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria located at 824 Afterglow St., San Antonio, TX 78216 announces their top picks for lunch at their restaurant, which has been serving family recipes for over 30 years.
Founded in 1983, Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria is a San Antonio staple. Husband Angelo Visocaro, and wife Paola Visocaro used their family ancestry to create unique recipes with authentic Italian flavor. These recipes we’re part of the success started 34 years ago. However, the key component to the Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria is family. As of today, the children of Angelo and Paola, have continued the Visocaro family tradition of working at Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria.
Dominick and Marisa Visocaro work as Vice President and Managing Director at the family owned restaurant. Both siblings have continued their parent’s legacy by providing the exact recipes created 34 years ago. To try these authentic Italian recipes, Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria is open for lunch from 11 to 3 pm.
The perfect way to start your Italian lunch is with the Fried Calamari. Little Italy Restaurant and Pizzeria serves unique fried calamari as it’s cut into thick slices and battered in a secret family recipe. The frying process creates a crunchy texture that provides a crispy outer layer. The best part is the spicy marinara served with this appetizer. This spice adds the perfect kick to bring the whole plate together.
After you finish your appetizer, there are a variety of options to choose from for your lunch. The Angelo’s Special Italian Sub was created and named after Angelo Visocaro. This sub sandwich is served with deli meat cut right in the restaurant! Slices of ham, capocollo ham, mortadella, soppressata salami, genoa salami, and provolone all accompany lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and Italian dressing to create one beautiful sandwich.
Another option for lunch is the Eggplant Rollatini. This is a customer favorite as it brings the true flavor of Italy to your mouth! This dish is eggplant stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella in a sherry wine sauce. Also served with this dish is a side of pasta, your choice. If your still hungry after this delicious meal, they also serve dessert that you can take back to the office.
Little Italy is open for lunch from 11am to 3pm and for dinner from 5pm to 11pm Monday through Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 11pm.
