Popular Bakery, Kneaders Bakery & Café, Opens Newest Location in San Antonio Texas
This popular bakery had a Grand Opening ribbon cutting ceremony at their newest location this morning in Alamo Ranch. Kneaders Bakery & Café continues to serve its mouth-watering pastries, delicious sandwiches, and unforgettable European hearth bread to residents of San Antonio, Texas. The premier, fast-casual restaurant and retail shop opened its second location in San Antonio with a formal ribbon cutting hosted by the Alamo Ranch Chamber today Friday, August 26th at 8:00 a.m. at 11018 Westwood Loop, San Antonio, TX 78253.
To celebrate the arrival of this popular bakery in Alamo Ranch, Kneaders will be donating 10% of the proceeds from opening weekend to the W.H. Taft High School Project Graduation. “We’re excited to welcome a second Kneaders to San Antonio. They’ve been an incredible partner in the community, and we look forward to their continued success,” said Veronica Gonzalez from Alamo Ranch 151 Business Association.
“Kneaders Bakery & Café is overwhelmed with the positive response and warm welcome from the San Antonio community,” said James Worthington, CEO. “We look forward to being a part of the Alamo Ranch community through local partnerships with non-profits and community outreach efforts; and by bringing people together with an array of fresh and made from scratch menu options.”
Known for using only the freshest ingredients, Kneaders makes its widely popular European hearth breads in-house and from scratch daily, never serving a day-old product. The award-winning Kneaders will serve 12 varieties of homemade bread, 42 mouth-watering pastries, and countless soups, sandwiches and salads to patrons in a warm, comfortable environment.
The company is focused on making substantial and significant contributions to strengthen the health, social, educational, and cultural fabric of the San Antonio community. A bread donation partnership with several nonprofit organizations on the area is one of the many ways the new location is giving back, in addition to the donation from the opening weekend’s sales to W.H. Taft High School Project Graduation.
San Antonio’s Alamo Ranch location will include a retail shop, which offers custom-made and themed gift baskets as well as a variety of home décor, online ordering capabilities, and drive-thru service. Hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Joel Orton, a member of the NSA Chamber of Commerce, will be the store operator. Joel is the father to four lovely children, enjoys the outdoors, and has been heavily involved in the Alamo Area Council Boy Scouts for America. His goal for this Kneaders location is to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the community. “We want the people of Alamo Ranch to feel like they’re at home when they’re at Kneaders,” said Orton.
I had the opportunity to attend a bread tasting of nine different Kneader’s breads. Hot out of the oven these breads were absolutely delicious. Baked at 500 degrees in special ovens imported from Italy, these breads are able to get the crisp, hearty crust that European hearth breads are known for. Today we were sampling the French Country Sourdough, Asiago Cheese, Rosemary Focaccia, Paesano, Ciabatta, Jalapeno Cheddar, Hazelnut 12 Grain, 100% Whole Wheat and the Baguette.
We were also able to sample several dips, jams, honey and Kneader’s own Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil from this popular bakery, all of which are a great accompaniment for the different breads. All the condiments we sampled today are available for purchase in the restaurant.
If you are needing fresh bread for school lunches, something fresh and different for the dinner table tonight, or some hot out of the oven scones for breakfast, let Kneaders Bakery & Cafe do the baking for you. They bake everything fresh every morning, so you never get day old bread. Stop in to their newest location in Alamo Ranch and pick you up a loaf or two. Or get a soup or sandwich on your way to work tomorrow. And don’t forget some muffins for breakfast for the gang at work. Better yet, stop in for a hearty home-made breakfast before you head out on your day’s journey. The Chunky Cinnamon French Toast or the Greek Omelet are very tempting!
**Full Disclosure: I was invited to attend the bread tasting for coverage of the new location of this popular bakery. All opinions are my own.
