4 Reasons Cigars City is a Great Cigar Shop

4 Reasons Cigars City is a Good Place to Buy Cigars Online

4 reasons Cigars City will win you over when it comes to buying a good cigar online. Who doesn’t love a great product, value, service or special. I am always looking for one or these things (and hopefully all of these things) whenever I look for a product I want to purchase online. Unfortunately many companies fall short in at least one of these categories and many times they fall short in several of them. Here is why I feel CigarsCity.com is a company that shines in all these areas.

First and foremost is the product itself. If it isn’t everything it is advertised to be then it’s a no-go for me. CigarsCity.com says that, “What you see on their site is what they have now. What you order is what they ship out now”. They only list what they have in-stock NOW. CigarsCity.com is an online Cigar Shop. They don’t have a brick-and-mortar shop which helps them cut costs and that helps you by offering great cigars at down to earth prices. They deal in premium products and their list of cigars is quite extensive. CigarsCity.com is owned by two friends, Anthony, along with his wife Amanda, and Frank who are big cigar fans themselves. Go figure, right!

So I put CigarsCity.com to the test. My husband and several of his friends are cigar aficionados so I asked him if he would put in an order for several of his favorite sticks to see if they could deliver quality product with little wait time as they claim on their website. Since they didn’t have the particular brand my husband usually purchases, Anthony steered him to a couple of cigars he thought my husband would enjoy. So my husband put in an order for two products; the Romeo y Julieta Havoc Magnum Gordo which came 20 to a box and the Punch London Club Maduro Corona which came 25 to a box. With this quantity of cigars, he would be able to share them with his friends and get several opinions on the product.

The cigars were sent out the day following our order. Most orders placed by 12:30 p.m. on a business day (Monday – Friday, non-holiday) will leave the warehouse that same day. They were sent USPS Priority Mail. Anthony from CigarsCity.com also sent an email with a tracking number to let us know when to expect the order. Within two days, my husband had his order on his desk. The cigars arrived in their original boxes which were sealed and each cigar was individually wrapped. I was informed that both boxes were very fresh. So far, so good!

The Romeo y Julieta gordo is a 6″ x 60 gauge cigar which makes it a 1 to 1 – 1/2 hour smoke which is just what my husband loves. After work he can sit with his buddies by the pool listening to music enjoying conversation, this cigar and a nice cognac. This Romeo y Julieta is wrapped in a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper leaf. Inside is a nice blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler tobacco held together with a Nicaraguan binder leaf. He and his friends tell me this was a very smooth full-bodied smoke. This robust cigar with its larger ring size is flavor packed and ends with a silky smooth finish.

The Punch London Club is a smaller 5″ x 40 gauge stick for a shorter smoke time (about 35 minutes). This cigar born in 1840 has a long history of being a great smoke and is among the oldest brands still available to smokers today. This cigar is made with blended full-bodied Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos instead of the original Cuban tobacco and is wrapped in an Ecuadoran wrapper. The Punch cigar was bolder than the Romeo y Julieta with a medium to full body but was still a very smooth smoke. This cigar is suited to an after dinner smoke.

Anthony was apparently spot-on with his recommendations. After trying them, my husband and most of his friends all said the cigars tasted as good and fresh as any they buy right here in town. One said these were fresher than the ones he just bought from his local cigar shop. Wow! My husband’s friends have all been back over several times to “share” a smoke.

I did some online price comparing to see how CigarsCity.com prices compare with other online stores. I found that they are a few dollars cheaper than most of the larger online cigar retailers. If you are ordering several items, this can really add up to great savings. And if you spend $99, your shipping is FREE. That’s a pretty good deal in itself. And CigarsCity.com has a whole page of specially priced cigars for even better savings to you. So be sure to check out that page first to see if there is anything you like on special. And check back often as they update their specials all the time.

CigarsCity.com carries some accessories too. Need a lighter, ashtray, cutter or humidor? Have it delivered with your next order. Remember, spend over $99 and it all ships FREE. They have a variety of sampler boxes and packs which is a great way to try something different. Some of these are on special too.

In my opinion, the 4 reasons Cigars City is a great place to shop for cigars online are:

  • Good selection of product and their products are fresh
  • Great value – good product for a good price
  • Great friendly customer service – talk to a real person right here in the USA and they have fast turnaround on orders
  • Great selection of rotating specials plus free shipping for orders over $99

About CigarsCity.com

4 reasons Cigars City

CigarsCity.com has been around for about 3 years now. They are a family owned business based in Knoxville, Tennessee. They’ve been able to hang around in the competitive cigar world because of their service and competitive everyday low-prices. I like that they don’t make customers go searching for coupon codes and hassles like that. Plus, did I mention, they ship every order that’s $99 or more for FREE!
