Hailing from Bangkok, Thailand, Ms. Wangsomnuck kept her desire to create the project in the back of her mind over the years while living and working in Los Angeles. A few years ago she turned her dreams into reality and returned to her mother’s land to film.

“I grew up watching my mother work two jobs, yet, somehow, she always managed to cook for us daily. When I moved to Los Angeles, I came alone, and dearly missed my mother’s cooking. Her meals had always filled me with such happiness and a warm sense of family. I saved money, borrowed a friend’s camera and journeyed back to Thailand where I connected with four wonderful women who opened their homes and their hearts,” explained Suki Wangsomnuck of what inspired her ‘Cooking With Love’ documentary.
