Chef Kevin Spencer Brings Wealth of Culinary Experience and Creativity to new position
SĒR Steak + Spirits, the modern steakhouse atop the Hilton Anatole, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Spencer as executive chef of SĒR.
After a decade in the demanding Orlando restaurant scene, Chef Spencer brings over 15 years of creative culinary experience to SĒR. Most recently, he spent five years at the Hilton Orlando overseeing the property’s six culinary outlets. Kevin’s creative composition defined his tenure at the Hilton Orlando where he was awarded the Orlando Life Silver Spoon Award for “Best Creative Steakhouse Chef” in 2014.
“We are thrilled to have Kevin Spencer join SĒR Steak + Spirits as executive chef,” said Saddiq Mir, Director of Food and Beverage at the Hilton Anatole. “His sophisticated cooking style is a perfect match for the concept, while his creative flair will add an exciting new element to SĒR’s classically elegant menu.”
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Kevin Spencer discovered his passion for working with local and natural foods at a young age. As he honed his natural culinary skill, Spencer began combining his love of art with that of food, yielding an artistic and wildly innovative cooking style.
It was this personal cooking style that Spencer brought with him to positions at numerous fine dining restaurants, a signature Walt Disney restaurant and then when he transitioned to the popular Roy’s restaurant.
As executive chef of SĒR Steak + Spirits, Spencer will incorporate as many local Texas products as possible while displaying his creative and inventive style.
“I’m thrilled to join the SĒR team and be a part of the dynamic culinary culture of Dallas,” said Spencer. “I’m looking forward to creating new dishes and expanding on the memorable experience SĒR offers guests.”
