Petite Fried Gulf Shrimp with “Bam Bam” sauce

Luke San Antonio, A Chef John Besh Restaurant, Extended Happy Hour on Tuesday’s from 3pm to 8pm!

Enjoy Live Music with Cocktails & Appetizers!

Luke is adding to the San Antonio flare by adding an extended happy hour on Tuesday’s with live music and a very extensive happy hour menu to follow suit. This is the spot to be after work, or to wind down from whatever you were doing all day. Even retired people need to wind down, so head on over to Luke.

Appetizers:
We started off with Prestige South Texas Oysters on the half shell, and these are as fresh as it gets. Luke prepares oysters in a variety of ways, you can also have them chargrilled, or fried, and believe me they are all delicious!

Then, we had some Tartar with rare tuna served on melba toast and it was prepared to perfection, and with just the right hint of sweetness.

After that we had some Petite Fried Gulf Shrimp with “Bam Bam” sauce, which is sirachi sauce mixed with their own concoction. Not spicy like you would think, but has a kick.

We also tried the Country Fried Bandera Quail and this is fried and served over pickled watermelon with fried kale and honey, oh it was delectable.

You’ve got to try the Chargrilled Oysters with Garlic, this is a garlic lovers dream, but you may want to brush before kissing your sweetheart.

After that, we tried the Fried Fish Sliders (Black Drum Fish), and this was the perfect little fish sandwich, no added condiments needed.

I’m not done, after that we tried the Mini Chef Pies with ground beef and these are very similar to Empanadas, but they have their own flavor specifically to Luke, so you will have to show up and try them for yourself to see what you’re missing. Delicious!

Drinks:
We tried the Rebellion with Absolute TX mixed with grapefruit and lemon, very invigoratingly refreshing with a kick. I also tried the French 75 with cognac and lemon champagne, and this is a great holiday drink, and it makes you feel like you’re celebrating something, anything!
