Terra Kitchen’s Beer-Infused Game Day Mustard

  • 1/4 cup dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 cup beer (we like a pale lager)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  1. In a medium metal or pyrex mixing bowl, whisk together the mustard, turmeric and beer. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add enough water to come up the sides 2-inches and bring to a simmer.
  3. Whisk in the remaining ingredients to the mustard mixture and set over the pan of simmering water.
  4. Cook, whisking constantly until the mixture begins to thicken (about 5 minutes).
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool before transferring to a jar with a lid and refrigerating.
  6. TK Beer-Infused Game Day Mustard keeps refrigerated for 2 weeks.
