Last Night the Stars Were Out in San Antonio at HISTORY’s TEXAS HONORS Event

 

Last night was a momentous occasion at the Alamo with a celebration of Texas legends in conjunction with an exclusive preview of TEXAS RISING, premiering Memorial Day- Monday, May 25 at 9pm. The evening kicked off fundraising efforts for the Alamo Endowment, as the TEXAS RISING cast joined Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush at a Texas-sized celebration

Attending cast included: Bill Paxton, Ray Liotta, Kris Kristofferson, Brendan Fraser, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and morewho recognized honorees S​h​anna Peeples (National Teacher of the Year), Sara Martinez Tucker (President Emeritus of the National Math & Science Initiative), Marcus Luttrell (Retired Navy SEAL) and Chef Paul Qui (James Beard Award-Winning Chef). 
Following the ceremony, José Feliciano and Chuck Mead entertained guests at an intimate dinner party, with a surprise performance by country legend and Texas Rising star Kris Kristofferson. Iconic rocker and Alamo benefactor Phil Collins also joined the to help kick off efforts for one of the nation’s most iconic landmarks.
