Wondering What to Get Your Man for Valentine’s Day?

Valentine’s Day Gift Suggestions For the Man in Your Life

**Full Disclosure: I received product in exchange for my review.  All opinions are mine.

Many women don’t think it’s easy to choose Valentine’s Day gifts for the man in their life. Men don’t usually like the typical Valentine’s Day gifts that women do (flowers, cologne, jewelry). So you need to delve a little deeper to come up with just the right gift.

A good place to start by looking into something that goes along with his hobby. If he likes golf, he would probably like golf lessons with a pro or a new putter he’s been wanting to buy. Or maybe getting him a membership to TopGolf, where he can take 6 of his friends after work to socialize, play some TopScramble or TopScore and have a couple of drinks with dinner, would be the perfect gift.

Tickets to watch his favorite NFL, NBA or other sports team play can also be a nice gift. I know our big screen TVs make watching the game feel like you’re right there, but come on, there really is nothing like watching the game in person at the stadium, is there?

Then sometimes just a good steak dinner at an upscale steakhouse like Bohanan’s Prime Steak an Seafood would be all you need to get him. We’ve all heard the saying “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”.  Known for its juicy and flavorful cuts, Bohanan’s is the perfect setting for enjoying a civilized evening of cocktails and conversation.

However if you would rather stay home and prepare your own romantic candlelight dinner then you might want to pay a little extra attention to details to make sure it is the “perfect” dinner. Here are a few tips:

  • Be sure you make his favorite foods, even if they don’t cover all the food groups.
  • It is always nice to set a pretty table. After all, you are using candles, so put a tablecloth on the table and use your nicest dishes.
  • Serve  food at the table on serving dishes, not from pans on the stove-top.
  • Dress up a little. Look at it like date night.
  • Start with a nice glass of wine or Champagne.
  • And most important, buy some things he likes but doesn’t usually buy for himself as an added surprise.

Famous Smoke Shop has released a unique Cigar and Spirit Paring Guide to make sure you always pick a cigar that compliments whatever your are drinking. Be sure to check it out: https://www.famous-smoke.com/cigar-pairing/

For instance, my husband likes a really good cognac and cigar after dinner. So last year I bought him a bottle of CAMUS VS cognac and Romeo y Julieta House of Capulet cigars.

He likes this cognac because CAMUS VS has delicate fruity and floral notes and yet offers a complexity that appeals to all the senses. Elegance is the defining characteristic of all CAMUS Cognacs.

My husband’s favorite cigar is Romeo y Julieta and he thinks the House of Capulet brand makes an outstanding cigar. This cigar, which comes out of Honduras, is medium strength and very smooth thanks to its blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. It has flavor notes of both woody and floral which makes it an excellent pairing with the CAMUS. It is said that this cigar perfectly captures the sweetness of the young love-bird. What better fit for a Valentine’s Day gift could there possibly be!

And at an average price of $5.94 at famous-smoke.com this is an excellent buy. Famous Smoke Shop carries a huge selection of cigars and cigar accessories which makes it easy to find the perfect cigar for any taste, size or price preference. And according to my husband, they are always fresh.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
